Prayer can mean so many things to people. But for me, prayer means following up with God’s word and following through with God’s Spirit.
Prayer is one of those things that you always feel lacking, incomplete, and not enough. The greatest threat to prayer is your desire to manage that sense of not being in control. No matter how often, how long, where and with whom you pray, prayer done right is its follow up with God’s word and follow through by God’s Spirit into obedience and perseverance.
You can’t live without prayer. You follow up in your mind, heart, and actions the desires that you brood in your heart. Some people call it imagination, believing in yourself, talking to your inner child, or your inner lawyer.
Who you pray to gives meaning and purpose to your life.
